You can easily make a cake at home without a microwave or oven by using a pressure cooker or a heavy pan (kadhai).
First prepare a simple batter using maida, sugar, milk, oil or butter, baking powder, and vanilla essence. You can also add cocoa powder for a chocolate cake. Grease a cake tin properly and pour the batter into it.
Now take a pressure cooker, remove the whistle and gasket, add a layer of salt at the bottom, and preheat it for about 10 minutes. Place a stand inside and keep the cake tin on it. Close the lid and bake on low flame for around 35–45 minutes.
You can check the cake with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready. Cooker cakes can turn out very soft and tasty even without an oven.
