How is GSAT 6A the most powerful communication satellite ever launched by India?

TheIndian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully put GSAT-6A communication satellite into its orbit. It is one of the most powerful communication satellites that has ever launched by ISRO. Home-made GSAT-6A launched from Sriharikota by the scientist ofIndian space agency ISRO.

The heavyweight GSLV rocket carried theGSAT 6A into the space. The 2066 kg satellite that cost us around Rs. 270 crore will be able to send and receive signals from hand-held devices.

The satellite would be helpful for an effective communication between armed forces personnel deployed in remote areas. This satellite will help the armed forces to communicate with each other using hand-held devices, which are being controlled by the DRDO.

A unique feature of this satellite is its huge antenna, that is the largest ever built by ISRO. The antenna has the diameter of 6 meter, and it would open like an umbrella once the satellite reached its orbit. The big size makes the satellite more powerful, which would make the communication better while making voice or video calls using the hand-held devices.
