In order to save your device from the rigors of being submerged in water, it is best to dry it off as quickly as possible. This can be achieved by submerging the phone in a container filled with rice and keeping it there for half an hour. Then, after coming out of the rice, remove the battery and let your phone dry on its own. Many people are also opting for using items such as kitty litter or silica gel.
