In Test cricket, though, it has to be noted that there is no set or fixed number of overs that one has to follow for one innings or even for the entire match itself. Normally, a Test match is thought to be played over five consecutive days, and on each of these five days it is expected that at least 90 overs should be bowled by the two opposing teams. So, based on the assumption that everything goes okay without any setbacks on account of adverse weather conditions or any unforeseen delays, one would expect that possibly around 450 overs would be bowled over the span of those five days. This version of the game is essentially all about the virtues of patience and foresight, with a strong emphasis on the need to make every individual delivery count in what is regarded as the classic and traditional version of cricket!
