Maharana Pratap was the king of Mewar, which is a region in the north-western part India, located in the present day Rajasthan. He had 11 wives and 27 children. He was known to be one of the bravest Rajput rulers of India. He had been the king of Mewar for approximately 35 years. He took over the throne at the age of 32 on the 1st of March, 1572. In his reign as king, he had fought 5 wars/battles in totals. Here is a list of all the wars that he fought over the years:

  • Battle of Haldighati (1576)
  • First Battle of Dewair (1582)
  • Second Battle of Dewair (1606)
  • Second Mughal Invasion of Marwar (1679-1707)
  • Battle of Udaipur (1680)

One interesting thing about Maharana Pratap was his height. He was approximately a 7 feet 5 inches giant (2.2606 meters or 226.06 cm). In addition, he also weighed a whopping 110 kgs. This helped him carry two heavy swords weighing approximately 25 kgs each.
