The first step should be to know your syllabus and adhere to it. Sort it into three parts easy, moderate and difficult topics. Start with the easy topics, and they will build the kid's confidence.
After Preparing any topic, immediately solve questions and memorize important formulas. If the kid doesn't have enough time to prepare, then divide the syllabus into at least two parts. First, finish the most important parts. Manage time and plan your activities well in advance. It will leave you with enough time in the end to revise. The most important thing is to stay calm and motivated.
