- IPL stands for indian premiere league.It is a t20 cricket tournament which is played by 8 teams based on eight different cities of India .The tournament was founded by the (BCCI) board of control for cricket in India in 2007.The first edition of IPL held in the year 2008 and the record of most runs in IPL is with virat kohli with 6076 runs current captain of royal challengers Bangalore(RCB) and the most successful team of IPL is mumbai indians(MI) they won IPL 5 times (2013,2015,2017,2019,2020).
