Honestly, with how all the features read on paper, Redmi Note 7 could possibly be the best budget smartphone ever.
On Thursday, Xiaomi launched (in China) its much-anticipated successor to incredibly successful Note 6. And as was expected, it managed to make all the right noise.

Xiaomi launched Note 7 in three variants. Although it’s not confirmed if all these models will be made available in India, the top variant can make into the Indian market. It will cost around INR 15,000.
Coming to its specification, Redmi Note 7 comes with a 6.3-inch full-HD_ LTPS display that has a screen resolution of 1080x2340. It is powered by 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. So, if you’re hooked to PUBG (who isn’t), playing that game on this device will be a whole different delight.

The three variants of Redmi Note 7 packs 3GB, 4GB, and6GB RAM. They come in two storage models—32 GB and 64GB, which can be expanded up to 256GB microSD card.
The smartphone is backed by 4,000mAh better which supports the quick charge. This isn’t surprising. Xiaomi devices are known to have great battery life.
BUT one of the biggest highlights of Redmi Note 7 is its camera, which can literally give every premium device a run for their money. It is the first phone with a 48MP rear camera. The camera uses a GM1 sensor. Its second sensor is of 5MP with AI features. The front camera is of 13MP; it doesn’t have a dual sensor, which is the only shortcoming, I believe, this phone has.

In appearance, Redmi Note 7 features a waterdrop notch design. Since not a fan of the notch, this notch, much like every others’ phone, looks hideous. That aside, the phone has 2.5D curved glass on the front and back, which is a much-needed do-away from the outdated all-metal design. In short, the smartphone, in pictures, looks quite pretty. In fact, it looks a lot premium, which Xiaomi failed to achieve in its previous phones.
The date when Redmi Note 7 will be launched in India is not confirmed. So, we’ll have to wait for a bit.
The device is also yet to be reviewed closely. Only then we’ll get to know how great it is in reality.
But as of now, on paper, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is possibly the best budget smartphone ever.
