Some of these websites are more involved. They may have you pick your preferences A or B style to narrow down places that you’re sure to love. For example, you may have to decide between a romantic train ride across Europe or surfing off the coast of Australia. And just like that, you have your vacation ideas. Now, you have to be careful with AI’s tendency to invent facts. Only use it for rough brainstorming. You can’t trust specifics such as plane ticket prices, travel advisories, weather data or things like that, not without verifying independently.

 

Friends Who Travel Constantly

A relatively simple way to get travel ideas is to ask friends who have been around the world. They can show you places off the beaten path and give you tips for staying safe, too.

The downside is that friends can be a little pushy, especially if they’re also thinking about going on vacation. If you don’t mind “double vacations,” or if the more the merrier is your style, few sources are as trustworthy as well-traveled friends.
