It is important to consider both the positive and negative of raising plants in a greenhouse. If you are considering a move, here are the benefits and negatives of greenhouse farming.

Pro: Plants grown inside a greenhouse do not require pesticides and herbicides to prevent bugs or weeds from destroying them. This protects your produce from chemicals that could negatively affect your health and reduce crop yield.

Con: Growing plants indoors is much more expensive than on the outside because electricity needs are constantly increased due to artificial lights, heating systems, built-in facilities for irrigation, cooling systems (depending on climate), etc. The high cost can make it difficult for beginners without deep pockets or investors to break into the market successfully.Article image

Greenhouse farming is a way of growing crops within sheltered covering by a transparent, or partially transparent, material. The main purpose of these kind of farming is to provide conditions favorable to the crops and to protecting it from rough and destructive weather conditions and pests.

It can be profitable for the cultivator too.The disadvantages of green house farming is the initial investments needed for building the structure and the cost of maintaining it.But Greenhouses produce less waste and use less energy .
