A GPS (Global Positioning System) tracker is a device which used for tracking someone's or something's exact location at any given point of time. The first ever GPS tracker was invented and used in the year 1973 by the U.S. Department of Defence. In the year 1996, U.S. President Bill Clinton thought and the GPS tracker can come in handy to the common public as well. Soon after, GPS trackers were made legal to use and everyone has been using it since for various purposes. GPS trackers were first introduced in India in the mid-90s. One very common use of the GPS trackers is the Google Maps or the Apple Maps that we use in today's day and age on a regular basis.
