Pune is one of the most attractive places in Maharashtra. It is the state of Maharashtra. It is one of the largest IT hubs in India. It is also one of the important automobile and manufacturing hubs of India. It is also known as the "Oxford of the East" as it is highly rich in the education field with numerous educational institutes. It has been also ranked as "the most liveable city in India".

It is mostly famous for its culture, heritage, and food. Its Marathi culture is the most attractive thing. It is also the home of great Indian freedom fighters like Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Agarkar, and Gopal Krishna Gokhale. Pune has been a major center for North Indian Classical Music for centuries. Annually, in December, Pune hosts a three-nightlong cultural program of vocal and instrumental classical music called "Savai-Gandharva". Pune is the cultural capital of Maharashtra.

Pune has its cultural cuisine and a special Pune meal which includes- Puran Poli ( a sweet paratha with dal/pulses), Pithla bhakri ( A masala chickpea gravy), Varan Bhat (rice and dal), Matki ki Usal (masala sprouts), Thali pith ( a spicy chickpea based pancake), bakal vadi (spicy crusty savory), missal pav (spicy mixture of onion, tomatoes with bread), and Amras puri (thick mango juice with puris).

Punes are also famous for the grand celebration of all Indian festivals like Diwali, Janmashtami, Durga asthmi, Navratri, Holi, Rakshabandhan, Christmas, etc. Pune is famous for Ganesh Chaturthi.

Apart from this, Pune is famous for its stunning wildlife, including rare and endangered species. The city is also full of several historic monuments like Shanivar Wada, Aga Khan Palace, Osho Ashram, katraj snake park, sinhagad fort, mulshi lakeand dam, rajmachi fort, panshet water park, vetal tekdi, parvati hill temple, lal mahal, empress garden, etc and having a suitable climate for tourists.
