What is THCA and What are Its Effects
THC-A (Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is the acidic form of THC that occurs naturally in marijuana and hemp plants. It is found in little traces in raw cannabis material, but can be easily removed through steam distillation or alcohol extraction. THCA exists when cannabis products such as edibles, oils, extracts or capsules are taken orally or applied topically to the skin. Medical marijuana patients often take orally ingested products knowing the low levels of THC over time will provide a therapeutic effect without getting users high.

THCA, or tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, is one of many compounds found within the cannabis plant. THCA is not typically used on its own by humans, but it does have medical benefits for some individuals.
When cannabis is heated up enough to convert THCA into THC, the resulting experience will be different than if this conversion had not occurred. A product that has been heated has a more intense psychoactive result than products which are consumed at their natural state. If you were to consume raw cannabis without heating it up first, the experience would be more mild and less psychoactive.
