There is a great significance of Vrat or fast, in Hinduism. It is considered as one of the best ways of worshiping. We can say that the number of fasts that are kept by Hindus are equal to the number of gods we have in Hinduism.
Now coming to Purnima Vrat, let’s first know that Purnima, or the day of full-moon comes every month, according to Hindu calendar.
Significance of Purnima Vrat:
• Whoever keeps the fast of Purnima, has his/her every wish fulfilled.
• Lord Vishnu is worshiped on the day of Purnima.
• If Purnima falls on a Thursday, it’s considered to be doubly auspicious.
• In daytime, lord Vishnu is worshiped, and at night, we worship the full moon.
The most significant fact about Purnima is that it’s the day when Lord Vishnu came to Earth in his human avatar.
