Veg Omelet or Cheela can be prepared in many different ways and Veg Omelet of Gram Dal in one of them. Let’s see how is it prepared.

Ingredients:


Gram Dal (250 gm), Rice (250 gm) –both dal and rice, are to be taken in equal quantities; 1 Tomato (finely chopped), 1 Green onion (finely chopped), 1 Onion (finely chopped), Eno (1 sache), Green coriander (finely chopped), 4-5 Green chillies (finely chopped), oil, salt (according to taste).
Method:-

• First of all, wash well with rice and lentils for veg omelet, and soak it in water for at least five hours.
• Now after frying the dal and the rice, grind them in a mixer, and add salt in it and mix it well.
• Put the pan on the gas for heating, and as soon as the pan becomes hot, add oil to it and spread it in the pan, and let the oil heat.
• In the paste made of lentils and rice, add chopped tomatoes, onions, green chilies and green coriander and mix well.
• Spread the paste on the hot pan and reduce the flame of the gas, otherwise the veg omelet will burn.
• When your veg omelet is cooked well from one side, turn it carefully on the other side, let it cook properly on the other side.

Your veg omelet is ready to eat with your favorite chutney.
