Mutton is as healthy as it is tasty to eat.
Here’s a recipe of Mutton curry that you can try easily at your home.
Ingredients:
• Mutton -500 gm
• Coriander powder -2 table spoon
• Onions (finely grinded): 4
• Garlic paste: 2 tablespoon
• Cloves -2
• Green cardamom -4
• Cinnamon stick -1
• Water -2 cup
• Salt –according to taste
• Ghee -4 tablespoon
• Yoghurt -2 cups
• Ginger paste -2 table spoon
• Red chili powder -2 tablespoon
• Tomatoes (mashed) -3
• Garam Masala powder -1 teaspoon
• Turmeric -1/2 teaspoon
• Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
• First of all, clean and wash the mutton pieces.
• Heat ghee in a fry pan and add cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick. Saute these for a minute and add the sliced onions along with salt. Saute till the onion turns light brown.
• Add garlic and ginger paste and cook well.
• Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Then add mashed tomatoes and toss well.
• Cook this mix until oil separates from the masala in the pan.
• Add the mutton pieces and toss and mix well until all the pieces are covered with the masala evenly.
• Add yoghurt and mix well.
• Now add water after letting it cook for 4-5 minutes.
• Add coriander leaves and garam masala powder and cook it for at least 25 minutes.
Enjoy the mutton curry with rice, naan, or tortillas.
