Vedic astrology, also known as Jyotish, is an ancient astrological system originating from India. It is based on the belief that celestial bodies and their positions have a profound impact on human life and events. Vedic astrology utilizes a complex set of calculations and interpretations to analyze an individual's birth chart, which is determined by the date, time, and location of their birth. It provides insights into various aspects of life, including personality traits, career, relationships, and health. Vedic astrology aims to guide individuals in understanding their life's purpose, making decisions, and navigating challenges by aligning with the cosmic energies indicated in their birth chart.

Vedic astrology is also called Jyotish Shastra, and it is an ancient system of astrology that originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. This complex system is, in essence, built upon the doctrines and philosophies that exist in the Vedas-the sacred writings considered to be the basis of Hinduism. The positions of various celestial bodies- planets, stars, and the moon - at an individual's time of birth are what Vedic astrology uses to provide considerable revelations about their individual characteristics, other life events that may or may not come their way, and possible future prospects.

Unlike Western astrology, which usually bases itself on the tropical zodiac, Vedic astrology relies on the sidereal zodiac, which works according to the fixed stars. The system divides the sky into 12 zodiac signs, and each life is believed to be associated with a person's peculiar planetary placements. This further goes on to include concepts such as the "dasha" system (planetary periods), nakshatras, and specific methods for the analysis of charts, which should be able to give deeper insight into an individual's fate and his relationships, health, career, and spiritual journey.
