The mega auction was in 2021 but it rescheduled to 2022 IPL because of covid and tight schedule.But there are certain new rules are added to mega auction are as follows:
the franchisees were able to retain three players before the auction and use the RTM (right-to-match) card for two more players.
Two New teams can be added to the IPL but the BCCI didn't announced the name of the team.
