In recent times, we have seen more of traditional manufacturers focusing on sports bikes. Meaning, today, you get more than enough options to choose from. Of course, Ducati 959 Panigal is the most popular choice for beginners. I personally recommend Triumph Daytona. Having ridden that piece of beauty and class myself, I assure you the bike is outstanding from every angle. Also, although not exactly “sports”, BMW S 1000 R is a nice choice either. And then are few others from Yamaha and Kawasaki.
Which is the best of all? Well the answer is simple—the one that’s more expensive naturally have better engine, preferred weight, big cylinder, and overall amazing construction with superior quality parts in use. In short, they can make the riding experience even more fun with their super performance and posh appearance.
However, at the end of the day, which one should you choose really depends on your personal budget. Here’s a thing though— if you’re looking anything under Rs 5 Lakh, don’t expect a good sports bike. Don’t expect a bike that can classified as “sports”.
Triumph Street Triple is a decent low-end option with a price tag if about Rs 8 Lakh. Above that, you can go with my fav Triumph Daytona at Rs 11 Lakhs. Suzuki GSX-R1000 ABS is a great choice in the Rs 15-20 lakh range. And if you’re looking for a complete beast, Yamaha YZF R1 is a go-to choice, costing at around Rs 25 Lakh.
Make your choice now!
