The Indian summer extravaganza IPL 2018 is going to end in a couple of days. This edition of IPL is has been like no other in terms of entertainment while every alternate match is like a live wire. So many records were created and broken. While players like Sunil Narine, Rishabh pant, Lokesh Rahul, Andre Russell, Hardik Pandya, Shane watson are in top players list some players, both national and international who were bought for higher prices failed miserably.

1. Number one in the list is the costliest player in IPL history, England's all rounder Ben Stokes. His last year record for Rising Pune Supergiants was 316 runs in 12 matches at a striking rate of 142.98 runs and he took 12 wickets at a economy rate of 7.18 runs. This year Rajasthan Royals bought him for 12.5 crores INR . He could not pull the magic this time. His record in this IPL is 196 runs and took only 8 wickets in 13 matches.

2.Jaydev Unadkat is another Rajasthan Royals player who was wonderful in 2017 IPL and in recent Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka. He took 24 wickets for just 7.02 at a economy rate while playing for Pune last year. But in IPL 2018 he took 11 wickets in 15 matches at the average of 9.65 runs. His price was 11.5 crores.

3. Manish Pandey of Sunrisers Hyderabad was bought for the huge sum of 11 crores Rs. After the exit of team's star player and captain David Warner's from the tournament he was expected to show a great performance. But in 13 innings he scored only 230 runs at the average of only 25.81 runs.

4. Glenn Maxwell 's price is 9 crores and he is playing for Delhi Daredevils. Like his team he could not create any magic moments in this IPL. He scored 169 in 12 innings at the average of 14.08 and took 5 wickets only in 12 matches.

5. Ravindra Jadeja was not expected to be in this level of poor performance by his team owners Chennai Super Kings. He was retained by CSK for 7 crores. Already he was not in limited over matches in Indian Team. May be lack of practice is the reason for his poor performance. This all rounder took 10 wickets in 15 matches and scored 89 runs only.

These are the players who were bought for huge money but could not deliver the performance in IPL 2018 .
