MDH is a spices brand which was founded in the year 1919 in Sialkot, Pakistan. MDH is the second largest company in the Indian spices market, just following Everest Spices. MDH's headquarters can be found in New Delhi. It was founded by an Indian businessman named Mahashay Dharmpal Gulati. Till date, MDH's net income in approximately Rs. 420 crores.

Dharampal Gulathi is the founder and CEOof MDH. He is born in 1923 inSilakot (Pakistan). his father name was Chunnilal Gulahti, he was running his spices businessin Mahashian Di Hatti, also known Deggi Mirch Wale. Dharmapal Gulhati droped his schooling at the age of 10 and joined his father business. He helped his father to expand business many cities like Lahor, Shekhupura, Nankana Shahib, Multan.

Mahashay Dharampal Gulati, popularly known as the "MDH Uncle", was the founder of MDH (Mahashian Di Hatti) spices. He was born on March 27, 1923, in Sialkot, Pakistan, and migrated to India after the partition of India in 1947. He started his spice business in 1959 from a small shop in Karol Bagh, Delhi, and over the years, MDH became one of the most popular spice brands in India. Mahashay Dharampal Gulati was a well-known figure in India, and he appeared in several advertisements for his brand, becoming a household name in the country. He passed away on December 3, 2020, at the age of 97.

Mahashay Dharampal Gulati was the founder of MDH.Mahashay Dharmpal was born on 27th March, 1923 in Sialkot (Pakistan). His father Mahashay Chunnilal and mother Mata Chanan Devi were religious minded and followers of Arya Samaj.He help his father in a soap business and carpentry job, cloth merchant, hardware business & rice trading.After that his father start business of spices and named as mahasian di hatti. After the partition of the country, he came to India and reached Delhi and purchased a Tonga.Thereafter he bought small shop in Karol Bagh, New Delhi and started his family business of ground spices named Mahasian Di Hatti(MDH).He just follows a traditionally established principle of and serving his customers through pure and quality products.Due to their honesty and knowledge about spices helps him to stand a succesful business.He was referred to as 'spice-king and awarded by Padma bhushan(India's third highest civilian award).
