The birthday of Mahatma Gandhi is celebrated on 2nd October.It is the “International Day Of Non Violence”.Gandhiji was the great non violence freedom fighter & hence was/is known as the father of nation.As on 2nd October 2021 this was the 152nd birthday of Gandhiji.2nd October is the National Holiday in India,almost all the banks,government offices & services remains off on this day.Mahatma Gandhi has a very great role in the freedom of India & hence he will be remembered forever by Indians.

Gandhi jayanti celebrated every year on 2 October as the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Mahatma Gandhi is known as the father of the nation and the leader of the Indian independence movement.

October 2 is declared as the international day of nonviolence on June 15 , 2007 by the United Nations.

Many cultural events and programs are organised to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.It was his non-violence movement which helped India gain Independence in 1947.

So to celebrate his contribution to the nation 2nd October is celebrated as a national holiday.Article image
