Why so many plane crashes happen in Indonesia?

Letsdiskuss Indonesia is an island country which has set of connecting islands located in south east Asia, lying between the Indian ocean and pacific ocean. Because of being an island country most of the transportation is done by air only. So it results in high air traffic. Soekarno-Hatta International airport is busiest in whole southern hemisphere. The reasons for most plane crashes in Indonesia are:-

• Infinite number of airlines, there is large number of airlines in Indonesia which fairly has small budget carriers with old aircraft. There are 60 airlines operating in Indonesia from which four are restricted in EU airspace.

• The main thing is that they are have very fast service of flights which connects places in very less hour, yes it is time saver but before take-off flights are not checked properly, to decrease the maintenance cost and bear less fares.

• The pilots are not properly trained to handle the air crash which is the other most evident reason for air accidents. AIRASIA crash is an example of this.

• The safety standards of Indonesian airlines are very pathetic, as Indonesia has record to stand lowest in air safety surveys and audits.

• Indonesia is a very large country due to which corruption is quite possible in that country due to which there is poor regulation of air safety in this country.
