Charanjit Singh Channi, the current Chief Minister of Punjab in India, is an Indian politician. He is an Indian National Congress member. He was also the opposition leader in the Punjab Legislative Council and Minister of Technical Training and Education in the Second Amarinder Singh government.
Channi grew up in Punjab's Makrauna Kalan hamlet. He does have an MBA from PTU Jalandhar and practiced law at Panjab University. He is a Sikh Dalit. Professor Emanual Nahar is his advisor at Panjab University Chandigarh, where he is seeking a PhD on a field relating to the Indian National Congress.
